The key change is that there is now **no concept of hover pausing at all**.
The animation condition is simply:
```js
if (!isDragging && !reducedMotion.matches) {
position -= SCROLL_SPEED * delta;
}
```
So the interaction is now exactly:
```text
MOUSE ENTER
│
▼
┌─────────────────┐
│ KEEP SCROLLING │
└────────┬────────┘
│
MOUSE DOWN
│
▼
┌─────────────────┐
│ PAUSE │
│ │
│ DRAG IMAGE │
└────────┬────────┘
│
MOUSE UP
│
▼
┌─────────────────┐
│ RESUME AT EXACT │
│ RELEASE POSITION│
└─────────────────┘
```
So simply moving your mouse onto the poster **cannot affect the scrolling anymore**. Only an actual `pointerdown` pauses it.
One other important detail: **reduced-motion does not disable dragging**. Someone who prefers reduced motion can still manually explore the artwork; it only prevents the automatic movement.
